본 연구실은 '디자인의 창의성과 감성적 사고, 공학의 논리성과 과학적 사고의 융합'을 바탕으로, '혁신적 디자인과 기술 응용을 통해 삶을 향상시키는 사용자 가치'를 연구합니다.

Our lab integrates the creativity and sensitivity of design with the logic and science of engineering, exploring innovative design and technological applications that enhance user value and improve quality of life.

HIDE Lab이 삼성전자 디자인경영센터 UX Innovation Group과 협업한 Physical AI Comapanion ‘PUCO’ 프로젝트가 iF Design Award 2026 Winner에 선정되었습니다.
황석영 석사연구원과 김주성 석사연구원의 연구가 IEEE에서 발행하는 국제 SCIE 저널 IEEE Access에 게재되었습니다.
HIDE Lab 연구팀이 「골목길 보안용 빔프로젝터의 Animacy Motion 설계 및 구현」 연구로 HCI KOREA 2026 Creative Award 최우수상을 수상하였습니다. (2026. 1. 27.)

Physical UX, Human–Robot Interaction, Robot UX Design, Future Mobility Interaction, Smart Products, Human-Centered Design EngineeringHIDE Lab은 Human–Robot Interaction, Robot UX Design, Physical AI, Embodied AI, Intelligent Products, Future Mobility Interaction, Human-Centered Design Engineering을 주요 연구 분야로 삼고 있으며, 이를 기반으로 산업기술기획평가원(KEIT)의 디자인R&D 혁신역량강화사업을 비롯한 다양한 정부과제를 수행하고 있으며, LG전자 CX Lab, LG전자 로봇연구센터, 삼성전자 디자인경영센터 UX Innovation Group, Samsung Research, 현대자동차 선행디자인실, 현대자동차 내장디자인실, 에브리봇 R&D센터, 두산모빌리티이노베이션 등 국내 주요 기업 및 연구조직과 긴밀한 산학협력 연구를 추진하고 있습니다.


HIDE Lab focuses on research in Physical UX, Human–Robot Interaction, Robot UX Design, Future Mobility Interaction, Smart Products and Human-Centered Design Engineering. Building on these research areas, the lab conducts a variety of government-funded R&D projects, including the Design R&D Innovation Capacity Enhancement Program supported by the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT). In addition, HIDE Lab actively collaborates with leading industry partners and research organizations such as LG Electronics CX Lab, LG Electronics Robotics Research Center, Samsung Electronics Design Management Center UX Innovation Group, Samsung Research, Hyundai Motor Company Advanced Design Studio, Hyundai Motor Company Interior Design Studio, Everybot R&D Center, and Doosan Mobility Innovation.

연구실 연구원 모집

석사/석박사/박사연구원(IDAS, 일반대학원 풀타임 재학생)을 수시모집하고 있으며, 학부연구원(3, 4학년, 졸업생, 휴학생, 졸업유예, 타대학 재학생)은 매년 2월/8월 중순에 지원자를 받고 있습니다.  문의: hide@hongik.ac.kr(교수), hongikhide@gmail.com(랩장)


Our research lab is continuously accepting applications for Master's, combined Master's-Ph.D., and Ph.D. researchers. Eligible candidates are full-time students enrolled in IDAS, Graduate School. We also recruit undergraduate researchers (3rd & 4th-year students or graduates, other universities) mid-February & mid-August.
